Description
The course is designed to introduce students to the basics of research design and methods, and to provide them the primary notions of statistical analysis. First, we discuss the research design components and the qualitative and quantitative research methods. Second, we set the bases for the use of statistical methods in political research by focusing on descriptive and inferential statistics (bivariate and multivariate techniques of analysis). Students are expected to read the assigned texts and contribute to class discussions.
