Description
This course will focus on a particular region of the Roman Empire, alternating each year, and focus on the archaeology of town and country within that region from incorporation into the Empire up till Late Antiquity.
Course objectives
To provide students with an in-depth understanding of the regional trajectory and manifestions of Roman life through town-plans, public and private architecture and rural life, using a combination of excavations, survey and textual sources.
