Vak
2017-2018

The objective of International Tort & Insurance Law is to give students a thorough understanding of the central themes of tort and insurance law from a comparative legal (and law and economics) perspective. Both the economic interests of the international businesses and the protection of actors of the international business activities will be subject to analysis as well as insurance and insurability issues. The students will obtain knowledge of the various substantive tort and insurance law principles that apply to the business activities of their clients and the concrete conditions in which these clients develop these international businesses. Moreover, the student will be able to assess the societal distribution of the financial burdens involved in tort and insurance mechanisms.
