Description

There are few policy areas that remain untouched by the European Union. But what is the European Union and how does it function? This course to answer these questions in a simple and practical manner. The purpose of the course is to lay the foundations for a better understanding of the European Union and the way it functions. This will be achieved in the following manner. We will first discuss the institutional framework of the European Union. Then we will discuss its main policies and the way in which it influences the lives of its citizens.

Course objectives

  • To achieve a thorough understanding of the European Union, including its institutions and key policies.

  • To understand European Union’s increasing influence on the daily lives of its citizens.
