Spanish 2 Pre-Intermediate

Course
2020-2021

Admission requirements

This course is only available for students in the BA International Studies programme who have passed Spanish 1 Beginners.

Description

This is a language course for pre-intermediate students, with a communicative approach: attention will be paid to the use of the language in practical everyday situations. The focus will be on communication and comprehension skills but the course also builds on the grammar base acquired in Spanish 1 Beginners.

Aula Internacional 2 is an action orientated Spanish course that makes the classroom the perfect context for quick learning with a balance between developing receptive and productive skills that maximizes student interaction. This compact volume contains the Course book, the Workbook, the class audio recordings (.mp3) and an extensive grammar summary (más gramática).

Besides the textbook, we will use a grammar book level A2 designed to be used individually or as complementary material particularly for Aula Internacional; the pre intermediate course also has its own online resources (web grammar classes).

Course objectives

This course enables the student to achieve a good level A2 (B1 for reading) of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

With online education, it is more important than ever to maintain communication and stay in touch with your study groups. For this reason, if you are unable to attend a session, it is required that you inform your tutor in advance. Please note that being absent at any tutorial session may have a negative impact on the grade of the assignment due for that particular tutorial session. This is at the discretion of the tutor.
