Literary Studies: German Literature and Culture

Master

German Literature and Culture is a specialisation within the MA Literary Studies

The specialisation consists of four 10 EC courses or equivalent and the MA thesis (20 EC). Every student takes in block 1 Situated Literatures I (5 ec), in block 2 the student takes the matching course Situated Literatures II (5 ec). Besides these obligatory courses the students take 20 ec literary courses within the track German Literature and Culture.

10 ec can be chosen freely from the MA Linguistics: German Language and Linguistics (especially recommended for those studentens who aspire the Educational Master) or a course offered via Masterlanguage

20 ec are devoted to the MA-thesis with a subject on German Literature or Culture.

Another option, from 2017-18, is a combined programme of Literary Studies/German courses and Linguistics/German courses:
