Description
With the acquired knowledge from the preceding courses students have to identify a field of special interest. During this module, they are expected to choose a topic of human evolution to review in more detail by writing an individual review that summarizes the existing knowledge and provides ideas that might advance the field. They will also present their topic in a flash talk at the end of the course.
Learning goals
Course objectives:
The student will learn:
how to use primary scientific literature.
how to structure a critical review of ideas and evidence about a particular topic.
how to give a very brief presentation about their topic.
Final qualifications:
The student will demonstrate the ability to write a review of a topic based on primary literature and top summarize the topic in a very brief verbal presentation.

From 4 January 2021 to 29 January 2021. A detailed time table will be published on Brightspace.
Mode of instruction
Introduction on the writing assignment and on verbal presentation.
Assessment method
Score on the quality of the produced review and the presentation.

Instructions on assignments will be published.
Reading list
Students will search themselves to obtain relevant literature for their review.
