Admission requirements

Admission requirements and any restrictions.

Description

The BA English Literature Thesis Seminar will consist of one introductory – getting started – session, followed by a series of sessions organised for students at which they can get together in a room on campus to work on their thesis. At six of these sessions a member of staff will be present to give general advice and guidance. Students can also be present via a video link through Kaltura, etc.

Course objectives

The aim of the thesis seminar sessions is to give students the opportunity to come together as a group while they work on their individual projects. Writing a thesis may be an individual task, but every year many students work on this individual task simultaneously. Before, during and after the thesis seminar sessions, students can share experiences, compare and contrast progress, methods, discoveries, etc. And students can also benefit from the various words of advice from the tutors when they are present.
