Description

In this course we will address the increasing role that medical technology (MEDTECH), in specific medical devices, have in modern healthcare. As the use of MEDTECH is widespread, during the 10-week period we will focus on key technical aspects and applications within the LUMC. Specifically: regulations, sustainability, artificial intelligence (AI), 3D-technologies, intensive care (IC)/operating room (OR), cell-therapy, and wearables.
The course will include lectures, besides that workgroup, self-study assignments, practical workshops, facility-tours and hands-on activities will play a prominent role in the educational program. At the end of the minor the participants must each complete an individual assignment.
Maximal number of participants is 20. Motivated BSc students with a (bio)medical and clinical technology background are invited to join.
