Admission requirements
Students can only start the chosen second year track, once they have passed at least seven of the ten courses of the first year, including Fundamentals.
Description
Students design their own tailormade programme for the third semester (30ECTS, free format), based on their chosen personal and professional development goals. The programme should be balanced on PHM Master level having a clear relation with one or more PHM topics like data, network governance, syndemics, payment and behaviour. The process of designing the program for the third semester is guided by the tutors during the 1st year, has to be approved by internal PHM supervisors and topic coordinator . Students may choose to do a (professional or research) internship and/or follow courses, both in the Netherlands and abroad. Importantly the students link their chosen activities with their personal and professional learning goals. The plan is subject of approval of the Board of Examiners.
Course objectives
Students continue to develop on their chosen personal and professional development goals and PHM competences (population health management expert, academic skills, data driven thinking and acting, eclectic thinking and acting, deliberative thinking and acting, transformative skills).
Timetable
Depending on the chosen programme.
All course and group schedules are published on MyTimeTable.
Mode of instruction
Depending on the chosen programme.
Assessment method
There are different assessment methods, depending on the chosen programme.
Courses will be assessed as described in the course description, including the retake in case of an insufficient grade.
For internships, students choose the products, weights of the products and assessment criteria by which they wish to be evaluated. The assessment criteria are closely linked to the PHM competences. The student’s plans, including the chosen products and assessment forms have to be approved by the PHM supervisor and the Board of Examiners. In case of an insufficient grade, the Board of Examiners determines the manner of resit.
Reading list
