Admission requirements
Description
In this course, the students are supported in writing their thesis, with specific attention to building and structuring an argument, the writing process etcetera. Students will receive and give feedback to each others’ work in class.
In addition, students are introduced to various academic publication forms and outlets, and the processes and procedures involved in them. What are the major choices and decisions one has to make when preparing a publishable article? Next to content, various lay-out as well as stylistic issues are discussed. Students will practice their academic writing skills by preparing a publishable academic paper.

At the end of the course, the students will be able to:
Systematically plan an academic writing assignment
Write in a structured, coherent academic manner
Reflect on writing process and identify bottlenecks
Give feedback
Receive feedback
Reflect on feedback received and defend their choices

How and when an exam review will take place will be disclosed together with the publication of the exam results at the latest. If a student requests a review within 30 days after publication of the exam results, an exam review will have to be organized.

The booktitles and / or syllabi to be used in the course, where it can be purchased and how this literature should be studied beforehand.
