Description

The goal of the course is to improve students’ skills in scientific writing. Students will complete weekly assignments focused on the structure and process of writing, as well as on the styles of language. As an end product, students will write selected sections of a brief scientific paper.

Course Objectives

In this course, students will:

  • Complete weekly, focused assignments to develop the skills necessary to produce high-quality, scientific writing.

  • Write selected sections of a brief scientific paper.

Mode of instruction

Combination of lectures and small group discussion.

Assessment method

Students will receive a final grade based on completion of assignments. Guidelines about assignment(s), including AI use, can be found on Brightspace and in course description. Participation in the course meetings is mandatory.

Exams
The assessment in this course consists of assignments. Registration via My Studymap is not required.
