In this reading course we will read selected texts of modern Chinese liberals introducing basic vocabulary, analyzing the arguments and the structure of these texts.

The courses is conceptualized as accompanying the seminar course “The Development of Liberalism in Modern China” taught by Prof. Ho Hsin-chuan. Participation in this seminar is not mandatory, but of course very helpful.
