Learning objectives
To gain a knowledge of the scientific discipline of the Physical Anthropology and its development;
To acquire an insight into the interdisciplinary nature of Physical Anthropology;
To be able to critically assess anthropological publications, especially with regard to how Physical Anthropology links with other disciplines;
To be able to place all published material into a sympathetic and relevant context;
To understand human evolution, variation and adaptation to environmental factors and to gain an insight into the processes responsible for these changes.
Language
Languages of instruction with be both Dutch and English.
Timetables
This course will be taught from 1 September 2009 till 22 October 2009 (examination). Lectures will occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10.00 to 11.30.
