Description
This course in the MA Political Science program aims to provide an overview of the current approaches and theories in the main sub-disciplines of political science. We will critically examine the dominant theoretical and methodological approaches of each subfield. Throughout the course we will also explore the relationship between seminal works and more recent scholarship, focusing both on the new innovations and older influences seen in contemporary political science research. At the end of the course students will be familiar with the dominant approaches to the study of political science.
