Learning objectives:

  • To gain a broad understanding of burial or cremation practices in various cultures;

  • To acquire a knowledge of the taphonomic processes which influence bone assemblages between burial or cremation and excavation;

  • To gain an understanding of the relations between burial practices, decomposition and the state of the human bone assemblage.

Language

Languages of instruction with be both Dutch and English.
