Beschrijving
Het college behandelt moderne computernetwerken en de daarbij behorende protocollen en theorieën. Hierbij zal worden gekeken naar zowel lokale netwerken (LANs) als wide area netwerken (WANs). Behandeld worden zaken als encoding, data-transmissie, error-correctie, bridging, Ethernet, ATM, TCP/IP, packet-switching, circuit-switching, routing, flow control en congestion control.
