Description
This weekly tutorial forms support for the preparation and completion of the MA-thesis, through class discussion and through linked attendance at the Mare Nostrum seminar series.
Learning outcomes
The thesis tutorials assist students in thesis preparation through presentation of their work in progress to the class;
Feedback from staff and other MA-students enhances the depth of the thesis;
Group discussion brings students into an interactive research atmosphere;
Attendance at the department seminar provides students with stimulating new methods and theories to assist their own thesis research.
Mode of delivery
Students present their research progress for staff and group discussion, through minor and major presentations. They also do preparatory reading for the department seminars.
Assessment
The marks are included in the MA-thesis evaluation.
