Goal
Obtain knowledge and skills about databases and data mining that is of great importance to application areas where very complex data is stored in huge databases and data structures. Typical areas are: bioinformatics, cheminformatics, etc.
Description
The course Databases & Data Mining consists of a series of lectures in which advanced database and data mining techniques will be discussed, with applications to bioinformatics.
Examination:
There will be a total of 5 database – and data mining assignments. The final grade will be based on the grades obtained for the assignments.
