Successful completion of BA2 program (level 4 Korean language courses at SKKU or its equivalent).
Description
The aim of this course is to enable students to read advanced level texts in Korean for academic and daily purposes. At the end of the course, students will be prepared linguistically to conduct review of literature written in Korean for their own research.
Course objectives
Students will:
Familiarize themselves with the styles and the linguistic conventions of advanced level Korean texts including academic texts and news articles.
Develope reading fluency and strategies.
Increase vocabulary.

Total workload 140 hours;
Contact hours: 2 hours per week X 13 weeks = 26 hours
Preparation and home assignment: 4 hours per week X 13 weeks = 52 hours
Preparation for exam: 62 hours

Attendance and active participation: 10%
Assignments: 30%
Quizzes: 30%
Final written exam: 30%
Blackboard
Blackboard will be used for delivery of relevant reading materials and submission of assignments.
