Description
This course is for students who start working on their thesis project. It aims to provide general and practical guidance on the thesis writing process. Students are expected to communicate regularly with their supervisors for individual and formal supervisions. The eventual goal of the course is to help students keep motivated so that they finish their project in time.
Part I introduces useful tips and information about the practical aspects of writing a thesis. Examples include guidance on: academic/thesis writing in general, referencing systems, structuring the thesis, literature review and evaluation criteria. If necessary, sample theses will be used for analysis. In Part II, all students are invited to deliver presentations based on their written work in progress. Fellow students will play the role of main discussants and lead the seminar.
