Compulsory for students enrolled in the RESMAAS program
Description
In the period the course is offered, students start to write their individual research proposals. In several meetings students bring in their draft proposal for discussion. Comments will be provided by the instructors as well as by fellow students. Attention will be given to the structuring of arguments and the development of research questions on the basis of debates on the current state of research.
Course objectives
The objective of the course is to assist students in:
setting-up their research project
critically engage in formulating research questions
theoretical and methodological considerations in different phases of the project.

Course Load
The course comprises 5 EC and the total course load is thus 140 hrs
26 hrs of these will be spent on lectures, feedback in the successive presentation of parts of the proposal
34 hrs to be spent on studying literature and compiling documents
80 hrs for writing a final paper

Evaluation of final revised proposal
