Internship Archaeobotany/Archaeozoology

Vak
2018-2019

Admission requirements

Relevant analytical skills, equivalent to BA3-level students (Botany/Zoology obtained).

Description

The Archaeobotany and Archaeozoology internship involves participation in frontline research, contributing to a multi-disciplinary interpretation of archaeological sites. Laboratory work will place the archaeological data into a geographical, ecological and stratigraphical context.

If the internship is carried out in the laboratories at Leiden, dr. Llorente Rodriguez and dr. Field will closely guide and monitor your progress. If the internship takes place outside Leiden University, the instructors will liaise with the relevant contact person to ensure that a suitable amount and level of investigation is undertaken.
