Course information

Any lawyer working in the field of finance should have a basic knowledge of financial reporting. This course gives an introduction to financial reporting. More specifically, it will focus on accounting (including balance sheet management) and capital requirements. Accounting will be taught on the basis of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), i.e. the rules that dictate how financial statements must be organised. Students will learn how to critically assess a company’s financial statement, including its balance sheet, and income and cash flow statement.
