Description

Introductory course about the representation of language in the brain, in which the following topics are discussed: neuroanatomy, neurocognitive methods (EEG/ERP, fMRI, TMS), types of acquired aphasia, language disorders in children, and potentially bi-/multilingualism and sign language. Course objectives

After completing the course, students will have acquired basic knowledge of disorders during language acquisition, language comprehension, and language production as well as of the most important neurolinguistic findings and theories in these areas. They will also have acquired knowledge about some of the most widely used methodologies in the field, such as electrophysiological and neuroimaging methods as well as the investigation of neurotypical patients

Timetable

The timetables are available through My Timetable.

Mode of instruction
