Course
2022-2023

Admission requirements

The student has fulfilled the programme of the first and second year of the BA African Studies.

Description

The undergraduate programme concludes with a final thesis. After it is approved, it is assigned a grade by the thesis supervisor and the second reader. The size is 10 ECTS (10000 words). In the BA African Studies is it possible to combine a written thesis with a multimodal product, such as a documentary, a website, and/or a podcast. This multimodal product will always be accompanied by a written thesis (4000 to 5000 words) that explains methodology, gives background information, and analyses the process of the making of the multimodal product. In this written part the student also explains the theoretical choices that have been made during the process.

You submit the final version of the BA final paper/product by e-mail to your supervisor and second reader. In doing so, you put the following e-mail address in cc; bathesis@hum.leidenuniv.nl.
