This subject builds on knowledge accumulated in the first two courses. The objective is to gain insight into real-life scenarios, develop critical, transdisciplinary and innovative sustainable approaches and establish future partnership networks.
The online environment is an integral tool employed in this course to facilitate virtual exchange and intercultural dialogue. A Small Private Online Course (SPOC) enables students to partner with peers from African-based higher institutions, whilst critically exploring transdisciplinary and innovative sustainable approaches. Interwoven in the SPOC are hybrid webinars with stakeholders and practitioners who inform EU-Dutch-African relations.
Upon successful completion students will have:
- Knowledge & understanding of:
Various role-players that advance the achievement of the SDGs;
The significance of numerous approaches and strategies in sustainable interventions;
Strategies, policies and partnerships that support NL-African collaboration;
Current growth and development realities on the African continent.
- Skills & competencies to:
Source information online and learn independently;
Observe and evaluate the realities of themes introduced in the minor;
Build African focused strategic alliance and partnership networks;
Connect with African academics to strengthen their international networks.
