On the other hand, the course will focus on understanding how AI can be leveraged for social good. It will introduce AI concepts such as data mining, machine learning, decision making and optimization, influence maximization in networks, and game theory in the context of informing applications in health, sustainability, climate change, agriculture, and well-being among others. Case presentations and guest speakers will follow a didactic component to showcase practical applications.

In this course, we will enhance the group learning experience and learning by doing, therefore, there will be many class activities. This course is designed for everyone, so no programming background is required or desired.
