Description
The Thesis Seminar will introduce students to various aspects of writing a Master Thesis. This seminar forms a (mandatory) part of the MA Thesis process. Students will be introduced to the standards of evaluation for the thesis, the process of designing a research project and the preparation a thesis outline. We will discuss the formulation of the main research question as well as finding relevant sources and literature. Special focus will be paid to plagiarism.
NB: This seminar should be taken before starting the thesis writing process.
Course objectives
- Students learn to analyse their research interests and formulate a concise and clear research question; 
- Students learn to find relevant sources and literature; 
- Students learn about academic (self) plagiarism.
