An RMA research subject is selected in consultation with the head of the research group. It may involve the actual processing of finds and features and documentation of that research, or research of published data. The aim of the RMA thesis is to teach students how to conduct research independently, how to write a scientific report on it and to present it to a scientific audience. In essence the RMA thesis ought to be fit for publication. Students are obliged to attend the weekly thesis tutorials, as well as participate in the Mare Nostrum seminar, to obtain all the credits.
