Philosophy of Social Science II

Admission requirements

Admission to this course is restricted to MA students in Philosophy of a Specific Discipline, specialisation Philosophy of Social Science, who have completed course Philosophy of Social Science I.

Description

This course will deal with one of the following four themes (rotating each year, influenced by the demand and teacher’s whim): 1. The philosophical foundations of rational choice; 2. Distributive Justice; 3. Multiculturalism; 4. Justice & Taxation. For each of these topics a more detailed description is available upon request.

Mode of instruction

Depending on the number of enrolments this course will be offered either as a full seminar or as a series of individual tutorial sessions.
