Colloquium: International Relations

Description

This colloquium provides an overview of International Relations theory and approaches. International Relations is a diverse discipline. This colloquium takes this diversity as its starting point, aiming is to provide students with a sense of the broad range of themes studied in IR. Each week examines a different theme, with topics ranging including security, peacemaking, international organization, political economy, environment, human rights, and international law.

Methods of Instruction

Seminar discussion and presentations.

Literature

Approximately 1000 pages.

Examination

Presentations and a final essay of ~ 6000 words.
