Description
This seminar explores a range of recent work on European integration. It discusses the application of major theoretical approaches to different areas of EU policy-making and studies recent institutional developments in the EU, including results of the European Convention, negotiations on the European Constitution, and changes due to the recent Lisbon Treaty. Students also read articles on the democratic foundations of the EU and work that explicitly tests theoretical insights on the basis of empirical data
