Description
This tutorial focusses especially on a practical introduction to the vocal church music repertoire. Students will explore the notation and performance practice of Gregorian chant, including the the different forms and genres within the corpus. By way of illustration and support the principles of a technically healthy use of speaking and singing voice will be dealt with and also practiced. The last part of the module is devoted to the organisation and working methods of childrens choirs within the current liturgy. Finally studenst will learn how the structure and organisation of the churchs works.
