Conflict and Conflict Resolution

2012-2013

Students will develop their ability to analyze contemporary conflicts in order to better understand various root causes of armed conflict and potential mechanisms that may lead to an escalation of violence. We will also explore underlying substantive issues and relations between key stakeholders in armed conflicts, both non-coercive and coercive conflict management activities, and the dynamics of post-conflict, peace-building processes.
