Entrance requirements
Students are required to design two CD-covers in two different styles. The choice of design is free. Designs may also be shown on a laptop.
Entrance interviews will be on August 31 2012 between 17.00-19.00. Students who have applied for this elective will be notified on the time and place of the interview.
Description
Students will learn about all the different apsects of the designing process. They will gain insight into the relationship between the purpose of communication, text, image and form.
Furthermore students are encouraged to develop a critical attitude and an individual view towards graphic design, to learn how to deal with images both on the level of form and content, and to acquire technical skills.
Assignments will focus on the designing of stamps, book covers, leaflets, infographics and posters. There will also be some free assignments.
Schedule
Entrance exams: Wednesday 10 September 2014, from 13.30 hrs.
Lessons: Tuesdays from 19.00 till 21.30 hrs.
Period: 16 September 2014 till 20 January 2015.
No lessons in holiday periods (20 October 2014 thru 24 October 2014 and 22 December 2014 thru 2 January 2015)
Location: KABK, Prinsessegracht 4, Den Haag.
