Description

Using concrete language variation phenomena, students will be introduced to performing linguistic analyses and their results.

Course objectives

  • The course familiarises students with the current tools of linguistic research. For this purpose, the course pursues several methodological questions, such as how to collect data, how to formulate a working hypothesis, and how to select related criteria.

  • Students acquire insight into the development of the Spanish language through intralinguistic and extralinguistic factors.
