Regular MA admission; knowledge of the Hittite language
Course description
Close reading of a selection of Hittite texts of various genres, in hand copy and/or transliteration. The course will focus both on the linguistic and grammatical aspects as well as the social historical and cultural context of the compositions.
Course objectives
The course aims to deepen the knowledge of the Hittite language and culture. Students are also trained to make a proper text edition.
