h3.Overview
In this course, students are trained to appropriately use a range of expressions and sentence patterns with reasonable precision to explain and discuss their viewpoints about topics of current social and cultural issues as well as somewhat technical matters. Of focus is the development of the production skills (spoken & written) using the topics treated in the Teksten module. Students will also be trained to widen their working knowledge of kanji.
h3.Structure
The class meets once a week for 2 hours for the entrie semester. During the semester, students will be dealing with five topics. Classroom activities revolve around vocabulary building tasks and writing exercises.
h3.Goals
By the end of the term, students can use the learned vocabulary and sentence patterns in interactions dealing with familar as well as abstract topics. Students will also be able to write cohesively using the learned kanji and sentence structure patterns about provided topics including abstract matters.

Aanwezigheid tijdens college is verplicht (minstens 70% van de colleges).
Het eindcijfer voor het onderdeel is het gewogen gemiddelde van de uitslagen voor de deeltoetsen, met dien verstande dat het onderdeel alleen voldoende kan zijn wanneer de student voor alle deeltoetsen een voldoende heeft behaald. Indien een of meer van de deeltoetsen onvoldoende zijn, ontvangt de student een onvoldoende (onv.) als uitslag voor het gehele onderdeel.
Teksten: • het vóór de vastgestelde deadline inleveren van minimaal 4, individueel geschreven webpostings
Aanwezigheid en participatie tellen mee bij het onderdeel webpostings schrijven.
Production • Three writing assignments • Vocabulary / kanji quizzes • Written exam (2 hours) Attendance is required.
Blackboard Blackboard is beschikbaar. Hierop zullen alle relevante materialen en de daarbij behorende informatie/uitleg voor zowel Teksten als Productie worden geplaatst.
