Different topics from the field of Soft Matter Chemistry are presented focusing on theoretical models and methods. Topics include: Colloids (classification, colloidal stability, interactions between surfaces, DLVO theory), Interfaces (van der Waals theory of the surfaces, wetting), Self-assembling systems (micelle formation, microemulsions, membranes, monolayers, curvature energy), Polymers (Flory-Huggins, polymers in solution, polymer melts, simulations of polymers, scaling).
Minimum entry requirement: Statistical Thermodynamics (grade 8.0 or higher)
