Description

RMA-students assist in the preparation and coaching of the courses Research in Mesoamerica and the Andes and Visual Culture. Apart from building the contents and requirements for the course Research in Mesoamerica and the Andes, students will assess and give constructive feedback to other classmates’ assignments. They will also help to organise a workshop or symposium with topics that apply to current streams of research in the archaeology of Mesoamerica and the Andes.
Regarding the Visual Culture course, students will assist in editing and giving constructive feedback to the final paper assignment.

Course objectives

  • Ability to set up a seminar;

  • Knowledge of editing papers;

  • Experience in coaching students in cooperation with staff;

  • Ability to assess the quality of papers according to prescribed protocol;

  • Ability to formulate discussion points.

Mode of instruction

Attendance and assistance to both courses.
For assisting in Research in Mesoamerica and the Andes it is necessary to enrol for the course in Blackboard.

Assessment method

Participation, performance and handling of responsibilities will be evaluated during the courses.

Assessment deadline

Deadlines will be scheduled during the course. They will correspond to the requirements of Research in Mesoamerica and the Andes and Visual Culture.

Reading list

Literature will be indicated during the course and will be available via Blackboard.
