Description

The course will help the students to understand critical relationships between the environment, energy and sustainability, and what materials will be required. The course will focus on the scientific challenges involved in the development of natural and (semi-)synthetic devices (also known as BioSolar Cells) for the direct conversion of solar energy into primary energy carriers, the pros and cons of various approaches, and how these translate into fundamental sustainable chemistry and biological chemistry research needs.
