The business analytics part of this course provides insights in how firms use business analytics to optimize their decision-making processes. This part of the course provides an introduction to the area of business analytics by answering the following questions: 1) Why do businesses use business analytics techniques? 2) Which possibilities does business analytics offer to such businesses? 3) How do datasets look like that firms use? 4) How can the information in these datasets be summarized and visualized? 5) Which often-used analysis techniques exist in the area of business analytics and how can these techniques be applied?
