Description
Introduction to Old Saxon grammar and reading of Old Saxon texts, especially ‘Hêliand’ and some of the shorter texts.
Course objectives
Insight in the structure of Old Saxon and reading ability of Old Saxon texts.

Course Load
2 hours a week during 14 weeks.
Ca. 3 to 4 hours preparation for every lecture
Ca. 25 hours preparation for examination
Assessment method
Oral examination on the basis of a text fragments that have been prepared at home.
Exam review
How and when an exam review will take place will be disclosed together with the publication of the exam results at the latest. If a student requests a review within 30 days after publication of the exam results, an exam review will have to be organized.
Blackboard
Blackboard will not be used.
