Description

The second year writing program is a continuation of the foundation course. In the second year students will consolidate their writing skills by reporting on various experiments, the Biomedical Sciences Symposium. Students will learn how to express their own, substantiated, opinion by writing a critical summary of an article and an argumentative essay. This capability is an important component of writing reviews in third year and onwards. Students will attend and give feedback on a poster presentation given by third-year BSc students. In this year there is also a focus on oral communication skills; students will be trained to give a formal presentation to a large audience in English.
