Description
This lecture series comprises the theoretical basis and application of quantitative pharmacology and pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) modeling with the purpose of characterizing and predicting the onset, intensity, and duration of drug effects in patients.

Admission requirements
Students of Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences. Adequate knowledge of Pharmacology and Statistics.
Mode of Instruction
The course will mainly consist of lectures and group discussions. Active participation in the discussions and self-study skills are required for this course.

Course objectives
Understand key concepts inpharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics processes and their description using pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) models.
Understand the basic mathematical principles used in PK-PD models.
Understand the basic concepts in quantitative systems pharmacology.
Assessment method
Written Exam (75%), and assignments (25%).

Remarks
A minimum of 5 participants is required, with a maximum of 25 students. Placement is based on the registration date.
