Welcome Meeting
The welcome meeting (with lunch) for all research master students is Tuesday 6 September 2016, 11.30-13.00 in room 1A03.
Registration for courses
IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO REGISTER FOR YOUR COURSES IT IS IMPORTANT TO COMPLETE YOUR STUDY REGISTRATION IN STUDIELINK BEFORE AUGUST 1 !!
Political Science Specialisation
In the first semester students attend two compulsory core courses (5 EC each) and two elective seminars (10 EC each).
Registration for compulsory courses
Registration for the compulsory courses ‘Conflict and Cooperation: Classics’ and ‘Advanced Academic and Professional Skills’ is possible from Tuesday 16 August 10.00 a.m. until Tuesday 23 August 10.00 a.m. Registration takes place through Usis.
For the workgroups of these two compulsory courses Research Master students will be registered in uSis by the secretariat before the start of the semester.
Registration for elective seminars
In the first semester students in principle follow the two seminars which are ear marked for the Research Master (see e-Prospectus). Research Master students will be registered for these two seminars in uSis by the secretariat. (If you would like to choose a different seminar please consult the study advisor as soon as possible.)
Public Administration Specialisation
In the first semester students attend two compulsory core courses (5 EC each) and four elective seminars (5 EC each).
Registration for compulsory courses
Registration for the compulsory courses ‘Public Institutions’ and ‘Advanced Academic and Professional Skills’ is possible from Tuesday 16 August 10.00 a.m. until Tuesday 23 August 10.00 a.m. Registration takes place through uSis.
For the workgroups of ‘Advanced Skills’ Research Master students will be registered in uSis by the secretariat before the start of the semester.
Registration for elective seminars
In the first semester students attend four elective seminars (see e-Prospectus). These may be chosen upon approval of the Public Administration programme director, prof. dr. S. Groeneveld. Students must submit their choice for these four seminars by sending an e-mail to s.m.groeneveld@cdh.leidenuniv.nl, from Monday 15 August until Monday 22 August.

Welcome Meeting
Welcome lunch meeting ReMa:
We would like to invite you to a welcome lunch meeting on Tuesday, September 6 from 11.30 a.m. -13.00 p.m. in 1A03 (in the Pieter de la Court building on the first floor, Wassenaarseweg 52, Leiden). During this meeting the programme director, Prof. Dr. P. Kopecky, will inform you about the programme, and you will meet your fellow research master students of the second year of the programme who will tell you about their experiences so far.

More info
The Research Master programme totals 120 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits. Students are expected to earn approximately 30 ECTS credits per semester. One credit equals 28 hours of study, including lectures, reading, writing papers, and preparing for tests and examinations.
Examiners:
The teachers that are mentioned in each course are appointed by the Board of Examiners to conduct examinations.
The Department expects the highest scholarly effort and achievement from students. Students’ academic work will be evaluated per assignment and per course. This includes both oral and written assignments. Timely completion of degree requirements is expected.
