Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology: Sociology of Policy in Practice
This is a one-year programme that focuses on policy-oriented research either abroad or at home, in the Netherlands. It offers students a mix of social scientific skills and the opportunity to work on an own personal three-month research project in the field of policy at an organisation or company.
During your three month research practice, you will research – in close collaboration to your host organisation – a problem or challenge that your organisation is facing. The institute of Cultural anthropology and development sociology has a longstanding tradition in mixed research methods and policy oriented research, you thus will be supervised by our experienced staff.
Through our mix of social scientific skills, you will be able to investigate, analyse, and report on issues regarding human rights, inequality, and sustainability, formulating conclusions that will be relevant to policy makers.
The information about the current internship projecdts can be found on the Institute’s website .
Successful completion involves the following components:
3 compulsory courses

NB: The electives will not be a part of the programme in 2017-18 and for students starting their MA in February 2017.
