Assessment method
Assessment: Take home examination.
Weighing: The take home examination consists of a problem question (70% of the exam mark) and a research question (30% of the exam mark).
Resit: Any student who has not passed the final exam is eligible for the resit. This includes students who failed the final exam and students who did not submit the final exam. The resit will also consist of a problem question (70% of the exam mark) and a research question (30% of the exam mark).
Deadlines: The exam deadlines will be announced with the exams. Points will be deducted for failure to comply with the exam deadline as follows: for up to and including 24 hours, no points will be deducted; for up to and including 48 hours, 1 point will be deducted; for up to and including 72 hours, 2 points will be deducted. Exams that are submitted more than 72 hours after the deadline, even if trivial, will not be marked and thus receive 0 points. Excuses other than approved official applications for mitigating circumstances will not be accepted.

Points will be deducted for failure to comply with this requirement as follows: For up to and including 5% beyond the word limit (even if trivial), 1 point will be deducted; for up to and including 10% beyond the word limit, 2 points will be deducted. Assignments that overstep the word count by more than 10% will not be marked and will thus receive 0 points.
Feedback and inspection: Detailed feedback will be given on each individual exam. How and when an exam review will take place will be disclosed together with the publication of the exam results at the latest. If a student requests a review within 30 days after publication of the exam results, an exam review will have to be organized.
