Description
On October 18, 2019 Chile experienced a sudden and rather unexpected socio-political upruising. Since that day the country has been submerged in a serious social, political and economic crisis. All the country’s institutions, such as the government, the parliament, the judicial system, the Constitution, and the police forces have been at the middle of severe criticism coming from a variety of social and political forces. In this online course, four prominent Chilean scholars will present their vision about the causes of the crisis and its possible oucomes. Each of them will deliver three lectures. In the final session, they will debate with each other about their different visions on the causes of the current crisis in Chile.
